*Refers to FX executions for GAIN Capital Group LLC. Please note that multiple factors may impact execution speed, including but not limited; market conditions, platform type, network connectivity, trading strategies, and account type. Forex.com’s execution statistics represent GAIN Capital Group LLC orders executed on FOREX.com's platforms during market hours between September 30, 2024, 5:00 pm ET, and October 31, 2024, 5:00 pm ET and excludes trades/orders entered on the MetaTrader platform.

Market volatility, volume, and system availability may delay trade executions. Price can change quickly in fast market conditions, resulting in an execution price different from the price available at the time order is submitted. Price improvement is not guaranteed and will not occur in all situations.

Excludes trades that received non-standard order processing and orders that failed to trigger.

Forex rollover rates and overnight funding

We don’t apply rollover interest to intraday trades. Instead, we source institutional rollover rates and pass them to you at a competitive price.

That means, if you are a short-term trader, you can trade as much as you want, and not have to worry about earning or paying any rollover interest as long as you have no open trades at 5 PM ET.

Other brokers may calculate financing charges continuously and second by second, which could raise your trading costs when you trade intraday.

The benefits to you:

  • You receive some of the most competitive rollover rates in the industry
  • You don’t incur rollover at all on intraday trades
  • You always know how much you’ll earn or pay; our rollover rates are posted every day and available within the trading platform

To find the rollover rate for a particular market, just log into our Web Trading platform and select your product’s “Market 360” to bring up the relevant pricing information.

Price improvement

Our quoted prices are executable most of the time. If the market reaches a better price after you place your trade, our price improvement technology automatically ensures you get the improved price.

However, in fast-moving markets, orders may be executed at a price which has ceased to be the best market price. This is known as slippage.

MetaTrader 4 pricing and trade execution

If you’re using the MetaTrader 4 trading platform, then different spreads and rollover rates could apply. To see accurate pricing for a market, you will need to log into your MT4 trading platform.

Trade Prices FAQs

Does FOREX.com charge commissions?

We charge commissions on our RAW Pricing accounts, but do not charge commissions on our Standard (spread only) accounts. For our RAW Pricing accounts, we charge $7 per $100k USD traded. Keep in mind that each completed roundtrip trade is technically two separate trades, therefore a commission is charged for each leg of your trade. For example, you open your trade with a buy of 100,000 EUR/USD, which is one trade, and then you close that trade with a sell of 100,000 EUR/USD, a second trade.

Additionally, the commission amount is based on the USD notional value of your trade. For example, if you bought 100,000 USD/JPY, you are buying 100,000 worth of USD, thus you would have a commission of $7 ($14 roundtrip).

However, if you bought 100,000 EUR/USD (when EUR/USD is at 1.1000), you are buying 110,000 worth of USD (100,000 × 1.1000); therefore, you would have a commission of $7.70 (110,000 × $7 ÷ 100,000) or $15.40 roundtrip.

Please note that while RAW Pricing has typical spreads of as low as 0.0, spreads still fluctuate with market conditions and spread cost would still apply when it is above 0.0. Please see this page for all our typical and as low as spreads.

What is a spread?

When a price for a market is quoted, you will actually see two prices. The first price, sometimes referred to as the bid, is the sell price and the second price is the buy price, often referred to as the ask. The difference between the sell and buy price is called the spread. FOREX.com is compensated via the spread.
