Technicians or techs are traders who base their trading strategy on technical analysis. While many traders use fundamental analysis too, technicians choose to exclusively trade with indicators and trading signals found by examining previous price performance.
Who uses technical analysis?
Traders who choose to focus almost entirely on technical analysis range from institutional traders who manage accounts for other people and personal traders who only manage their own funds.
Technical analysis is also popular among day traders and scalp traders, who rely heavily on price indicators of technical analysis to inform their short-term trades.
